California Immigration Consultant Disclosure

1. Clerical Assistance Scope & Non-Attorney Disclaimer

Pursuant to California Business and Professions Code Sections 22440-22449, Mail Stop (Sustainable 2U Inc) provides registered and bonded Immigration Consultant services within the State of California.

Strict Non-Attorney Status: Mail Stop and its personnel are not attorneys licensed to practice law in California or any other state. We are not a law firm, we do not practice law, and we cannot provide legal advice, select legal forms, recommend specific visa/immigration pathways, or represent you before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or in an immigration court.

Authorized Clerical Assistance: Our services are strictly clerical, administrative, and literal. We assist you by translating your spoken or written answers, typing or legibly entering information provided directly by you onto government forms, and organizing supporting documents. For legal strategy, case assessments, or interpretation of immigration law, you must consult a licensed immigration attorney.

Statutory Compliance: As required by the California Secretary of State, Mail Stop maintains an active $100,000 Immigration Consultant Surety Bond. In accordance with state mandate, any contract for immigration consulting services may be canceled by the client within 72 hours of signing for a full refund of any unearned fees.

2. Notary Public & Dual Capacity Disclosure

Strict Separation of Duties and Fee Limitations

The owners and operators of Mail Stop hold a valid Notary Public Commission issued by the California Secretary of State in addition to maintaining a separate registration as a California Immigration Consultant. To eliminate any conflicts of interest or legal contradictions, we adhere strictly to California Government Code Section 8223:

Independent Capacities: We offer Notary Public services and Immigration Consultant services as entirely separate and legally distinct functions. A Notary Public commission does not grant or imply any legal or structural expertise in immigration matters. We will never advertise our notary services in a manner that falsely implies immigration expertise.

Statutory Fee Limitations: In strict compliance with Government Code Section 8223(b), the clerical fee charged for entering data on immigration forms will not exceed fifteen dollars ($15) per individual for each set of forms. Standard California statutory notary fees apply completely independently if a specific document inside that set requires a formal notarization, jurat, or acknowledgment.

Prohibition of “Notario”: We do not utilize, advertise, or translate our Notary Public title into the Spanish terms “Notario Público” or “Notario,” as those terms signify a legal professional or licensed attorney in foreign jurisdictions.

3. Import-Export Trade Consultancy & Startup Advisory

Experience-Based Consulting & No Financial Involvement Disclaimer

Mail Stop provides business advisory consulting for startups, utilizing extensive professional international trade experience to guide clients through general import-export concepts.

No Financial or Investment Involvement: Our consulting is strictly administrative and strategic. Mail Stop does not provide investment advice, financial planning, banking setups, or capital allocations. We maintain no financial stake, ownership, or joint venture involvement in your startup or trading entity. All business and financial decisions remain 100% the responsibility of the client.

No Customs or Legal Brokerage Guarantees: While we assist startups with procedural logistics, our consulting does not substitute for a licensed Customs Broker, international trade attorney, or CPA. We do not guarantee tariff classifications, customs clearances, international treaty compliance, or commercial profitability. Clients are required to verify all trade regulations with official agencies.

4. Registered Agent & Business Virtual Mailbox Services

California Corporations Code Compliance

Mail Stop provides Business Virtual Mailbox services and acts as a designated Registered Agent for Service of Process for business entities registered in the State of California.

Limited Scope of Agent: Acting as a Registered Agent means Mail Stop is authorized solely to receive official state correspondence, tax notices, and legal service of process on behalf of your entity.

No Operational or Corporate Liability: Accepting Registered Agent status or providing a business address does not make Mail Stop or Sustainable 2U Inc liable for the debts, operational failures, contractual breaches, or unlawful activities of your business entity. Your corporate liabilities remain strictly separate from Mail Stop.
